There is certainly some great receiver competition in the NFC North, but Nelson is making a strong case to be considered the best of an elite bunch with his early-season play in 2014. The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook has noticed as well, placing Nelson on its props board with an OVER/UNDER number of 92.5 receiving yards.

Nelson has averaged 114.75 receiving yards through four games, and leads the league with 49 targets. His receiving average through four games may be slightly misleading in relation to this particular prop because he only would’ve hit the OVER in two of those contests. However, he exploded for 123 yards and two TDs in the Packers first game against the Vikings – a game started by Aaron Rodgers.

Furthermore, in the eight games that Rodgers started – and finished – Nelson surpassed 92.5 yards, meaning the OVER would have cashed in seven of his last 11 games (with Rodgers). The Vikings haven’t been bad against wide receivers this year, but the Fantasy Source staff is still bullish on Nelson’s prospects this week, ranking him as their No. 5 receiver heading into Week 5.
