Unfortunately, the game falls down in its combat system. Despite Icon’s imaginative “scratch” mechanic, which turns each level’s music-driven environmental hazards into lethal weapons that you control, the moves are too sluggish to keep you entertained. In other words, Def Jam Icon has some hot singles, but it needs more studio time before we’d give it five mics.
