During the arrest “officers were forced to utilize pepper balls to disperse members of the crowd who were disorderly and surrounding officers,” Miami Beach Police tweeted....

The investigative film, called “Lukashenko. Goldmine” and produced by the Polish-based Belarusian opposition news outlet NEXTA, says that the president has lavished hundreds of million dollars on gilded residences, planes and cars. On Friday, the New York City Police Department (NYPD) released footage that purportedly shows Harvey Marcelin, an alleged serial killer based in Brooklyn, at an unnamed 99-cent store in Queens. In the footage, the department claims that Marcelin, 83, can be seen sitting on a severed human leg while riding a motorized scooter inside, according to ABC 7 New York. Marcelin, who identifies as a transgender woman, has served roughly 50 years in prison in the past for killing two separate girlfriends, and was last released from prison on lifetime parole in 2019....

Warnings of a tornado supercell issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) in Arkansas on Sunday were still in place as of Monday morning, with southern residents warned to “take cover immediately.” A tornado watch is also in place in parts of Tennessee, Missouri, and central Kentucky. The NWS reported on Saturday that three tornadoes had ripped through counties in Iowa, destroying homes and leaving seven dead, including two children....

Authorities in several states in central Mexico, including its capital city, are reeling following the earthquake on Monday that left at least one person dead. The temblor struck on the same date as seismic events in 1985 and 2017. In the quake’s aftermath, videos have posted online showing the destructive force that tore through the country. Mexico’s National Seismological Service on Monday afternoon updated the earthquake’s magnitude to 7.7, measured near the border of Colima and Michoacan states 39 miles south of Coalcomán de Vázquez Pallares....
